Lawrence E. Park, 94, died Dec. 3, 2017, at Hilltop Manor, Cunningham.

He was born May 12, 1923, at Cunningham the son of Earl and Mina Harris Park. A lifetime resident of the Cunningham community, he was formerly worked as a stockman, machinery operator for Pratt County, the Cairo CO-OP and for Pratt Well. He was locally known as the gopher assassin.

Lawrence was a U.S. Army veteran serving during WWII; and was a member of the American Legion at Preston, Kansas.

On May 11, 1950, he married June Rita Annett; she died Nov, 17, 2016. Survivors include son Edwin and his wife Melissa; daughters Peggy Miles and Paula Buchanan and her husband Tom; brother Marvin; 8 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a son Lewis; brothers Herbert and Herman; and sisters Luelma Ditto and Jennie Hobbs.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Family committal services will be in the Shelman Cemetery.
