Lawrence Edward Simons, 89, died August 15, 2019 at Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

He was born Nov. 18, 1929, in Kingman County the son of Ralph G. and Martha M. Zerger Simons. A longtime Kingman County resident, he was a retired farmer.

Lawrence was a member of the First Christian Church of Medicine Lodge.

On Jan. 8, 1992, he married Avis Cole at Kingman. Other survivors include a step-daughter Carol Cranford Francis; sister-in-law Doris Simons; 4 nephews; 4 nieces; 4 step-grandchildren; and 7 step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers Arthur, Paul and Floyd Simons; a sister Helen Cole; and step-son Wayne Cranford.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the family receiving friends from 9:30 a.m., until service time. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with the Medicine Lodge Christian Church in care of the funeral home.
