Leona M. Nelson, 91, died Dec. 20, 2018 at Kingman.

She was born July 6, 1927, the daughter of Harry and Marie Brining Schiffner. A Kingman resident since 1959, she was a homemaker and former co-owner/operator of the Kingman Motel.

Leona was a member of the Kingman Christian Church.

On Oct. 23, 1944, she married M.W. "Hap" Nelson at Cherokee, Oklahoma; he died April 21, 2003.
Survivors include son Larry and his wife Beverly; daughter Janet Arensdorf; 3 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a brother Alvin; and son-in-law Ralph Arensdorf.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
