Maribel Poundstone, 91, died Nov. 2, 2015, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.
She was born Feb. 3, 1924, at Harper, Kansas the daughter and only child of B.B. "Pete" and Kathryn Meyers Poundstone. A longtime Kingman resident, she was a retired kindergarten and music teacher earning her Bachelor's Degree from Friends University and her Master's Degree from Wichita State University.
She was a member of the Kingman Church of Christ, the Kingman Hospital Auxiliary and a former hospital Pink Lady, a member of the Kitchen Band and the Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority.
Survivors include several distant cousins and their children; and longtime friend and caregiver Sharon James and her family.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m, Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015, at the Kingman Church of Christ. Per her request the cremains will be buried in the Harper Cemetery, Harper, Kansas.
Memorials may be made with Carpenter Place in care of Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.
