MARILYN J. VITTITOW

Marilyn J. Vittitow, 89, died June 14, 2025 at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.

She was born July 19, 1935 in Salina, Kansas the daughter of Joseph and Ellen Anna Charlotte Stover Veltman.  A longtime resident of Topeka and Wichita, moving to Kingman in 2023, she was a retired secretary for the Shawnee Heights High School principal, in Topeka from 1978 to 1997.

Marilyn was formerly a member of the St. Matthews Catholic Church in Topeka where she played the organ for thirty years and was involved with the Altar Society;  and was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Wichita.

On Aug. 7, 1954, she married Thomas S. Vittitow, Sr. in Salina; he died Oct. 17, 2008.  Survivors include daught

ers Ann Vittitow and Susan (Thomas) Rice; son Thomas Vittitow, Jr; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 5, 2025 at St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church, Wichita. Friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, July 3, 2025 at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  Interment will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.

Memorials may be made with Wheatlands Healthcare Center or Rivercross Hospice, both in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
