Obituary

Martha Ann Gardner, 85, died Sept. 20, 2008, at Via Christi Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.

She was born Nov. 24, 1922, in Jarosa, Colo., the daughter of George and Martha Estella Meisenheimer Sallee. A longtime resident of the Kingman and Penalosa communities, she was a homemaker and former Avon sales representative.

She was a member of the Penalosa Church of Christ, the Sunflower Club, and the EHU.

On Oct. 2, 1949, she married Glenn Arthur Sr.; he died Dec. 10, 2007. Survivors include: son, Glenn, Jr.; daughters and husbands, Sherri and Dennis Henning, Ellen and Stan Hacker, Charlotte Boley and Judith and Randy Blevins; sisters, Bernice Terrill, Maybelle Fountain, Georgia Lee Keeler, and Patty Jane Koch, both of Great Bend; Arvilla Tillman, Appalachalilla, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Hoosier Cemetery.
