Marvin James Lindt, 84, died Oct. 27, 2017, at his home in Kingman.
He was born February 20, 1933, in Beaver, Oklahoma the son of Walter A. and Iris Tapp Lindt. Marvin was the former owner of Lindt Oil Company which he operated with his wife Viola for forty years retiring in 1998.
Marvin was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, the Kingman County Historical Society and VFW Post 1164, all of Kingman; and he was a U.S. Navy veteran.
On Nov. 12, 1956, he married Viola Greiving at St. Leo, Kansas. Other survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Debbie and Stan Goetz, Nancy and Kenny Bock, Karen and Dean Merkel, and Cindy and Matt Hickey; son Roger Lindt and his wife Lane; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers Bill and Vernon.
Parish rosary will be 7:00 p.m., Monday at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, also at St. Patrick Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Monday at the Livingston Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the St. Patrick Grade School or VFW Post 1164, both in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
