Marvin LeRoy Wilson, Jr., 88, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas.
He was born Oct. 6, 1936, in Kingman, Kansas, the son of Marvin LeRoy, Sr. and Lyndal Mae Loomis Wilson. A longtime resident of Kingman County, with time spent in South Dakota and Colorado, he was a farmer and stockman.
On Aug. 9, 1959, LeRoy married Linda Valk at Cheney Methodist Church in Cheney, Kansas. Other survivors include son Chris; daughters Susan (Rick) Ruhmann and Betsy Ellen Wilson; brother Gary; sisters Dixie (Dean) Bibles and Sondra Russell; grandchildren Zach and Colton Smarsh, Caitlin (Andrew) Ludwick, and Maci (Matt) Fraser; and great-grandsons Barrett, Bowen and Henry Ludwick.
LeRoy, a lifelong farmer, had a deep interest in the stock market, and enjoyed Western TV shows and movies.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024 at Cheney Methodist Church. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Cheney. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until service on Wednesday at the church.
