MYRTLE M. "Myrt" GOETZ

Myrtle M. "Myrt" Goetz, 81, died Sept. 14, 2024 at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.

She was born July 17, 1943, at Garden City, Kansas the daughter of Earl "Bud" and Bessie Wells Tackett.  A longtime resident of the Willowdale and Kingman communities, she was employed by Kingman Community Hospital for many years.

Myrt was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella, all of Kingman.

On Feb. 11, 1972, she married Sylvester "Gus" Goetz at Lakin, Kansas.  Other survivors include daughter Sarah Smith and her husband Chad; grandchildren Katlyn, Taylor, Garrett and Harley; and great-grandchildren Evelyn, Lila and Noah.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son Earl; brothers Earl "Hop", Doug and Bob,.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 20, 2024 at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with a parish rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024 at the St. Peter Catholic Church, Willowdale. Burial will be in the St. Peter Cemetery.
