NANCY J. ROYER

Nancy J. Royer, 85, died Aug. 19, 2026 at the Prairie Sunset Home.

She was born Oct. 7, 1940, at Hutchinson, Kansas the daughter of Orlan and Theo Willis Seyb. A longtime resident of the Pretty Prairie community, she was a seamstress, a former cashier at the Pretty Prairie State Bank, and also worked in the Pretty Prairie Library and the City offices.

Nancy was a member of the United Methodist Church and the UMW, both of Pretty Prairie; and was also the former Church Secretary and former Church Youth Group leader.

On Dec. 27, 1959, she married Jerrry “J.R” Royer at Pretty Prairie; he died April 7, 2022. Survivors include son Kevin and his wife Debbie; daughters Kim Berning and husband Joe, and Kari Heimerman and her husband John; brothers and their wives John and JoAnn Seyb and Mike and Diane Seyb; sister Mary Graber and her husband Bruce; and grandchildren Kylea, Ken, Gentry, Jessi, Ashton and Layke; and great-grandchildren Emmett, Collins, Rory, Jada, Arlee, Theo, Hattie, Aidan, Ezra, Hazel, Lincoln, Shepherd and Archer.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 27, 2026 the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 26, 2026 at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be in the Lone Star Cemetery near Pretty Prairie.
