On Sunday, July 14, 2019, Naomi Huffman went home to be with her Lord. She was the daughter of William Washington Gilstrap and Lillie Jane Feeback Gilstrap.
She was born March 31, 1920, near Cunningham, Kansas. She spent most of her life in the Cunningham area attending Cunningham schools graduating from Cunningham High School in 1937.
Naomi married Delmer Huffman on Mar. 23, 1940; he passed away in 1985. Two of her children preceded her in death; daughter Carol and son Kevin. She was also preceded in death by brothers Jess, Jack and Lee Gilstrap and Walter Pettit; and sisters Lillian McGuire and Betty JoAnn Watts. Naomi is survived by her daughter Judy and husband John Williams; sons Jerry and wife Jean and John and wife Patty; and daughter-in-law Vicki and husband John Steffen. Other survivors include 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; her brother Bill Gilstrap; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a teacher in Cunningham Grade School for 18 years.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday at Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman. Friends may call from 8:40-10:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Maud Cemetery, Cunningham.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the West Kingman County Education Foundation.
