Opal L. Risley, 98, died Oct. 20, 2015.
She was born Oct. 17, 1917, at Carlton, Kansas the daughter of Roscoe and Clara Elizabeth Hesher Sharps. A longtime Kingman resident, previously of Wichita, she was the retired owner/operator of Northend General Store.
She was married to Gene Risley; he died Aug. 27, 2012. Survivors include 3 daughters Mary McDonald, Susan Moore and Carol Battitori; daughter-in-law Anne Fritz; step-children, Gaylord Risley, Sharan Pittser and Ilene Risley; 16 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Jack Francis and a sister Dorothy Boshell.
Graveside services will take place at a later date at Roselawn Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made with Wheatlands Healthcare Center TLC Unit.
