Penny L. Wood, 74, died July 24, 2022 at her home in Kingman.

She was born Feb. 8, 1948, at Wichita the daughter of Donald and Maxine Brasfield Augden.  A lifetime resident of the Kingman community, she was a retired school psychologist for the South Central Special Education CO-OP.

Penny was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, the Kingman County Historical Society, the Kingman City Parks Board; former member of the Kingman Carnegie Library, Kingman Community Hospital and Horizons Mental Health boards.

On Dec. 26, 1967, she married Mike Wood at Kingman.  Other survivors include two sons Kelly and his wife Andrea, and Brent and his wife Jenny; sisters Pud Shields and Cindy Evans; sisters-in-law Martha Ann "Baby" Jones and Susan Wood Moore; and grandchildren Laney Joan, Dawson, Hayden and Ethan.

Parish rosary will be 7:30 p.m., Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday also at the St. Patrick Catholic Church.  Family graveside services will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Kingman Carnegie Library and Kingman County Historical Society both in care of Livingston Funeral Home.
