IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ralph A.
Lankton
January 29, 1931 – July 25, 2025
Ralph A. Lankton, 94, of Kingman, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025.
Born January 29, 1931, in LeRoy, Kansas, Ralph was the son of Elmer and Frances (Miller) Lankton. A longtime resident of Kingman, he worked for many years as a manufacturer's representative for Monroe Auto Parts, Pitney Bowes, Jarvis Auto Parts, and retired from Kowalski Auto Parts. Earlier in life, he was also a partner in a Derby gas station with his brother Allen. But Ralph's life was built on far more than a career—it was built on love, faith, and family.
A man whose hands built not only beautiful things, but a beautiful life, Ralph was a devoted husband, a proud father, and a beloved grandfather. He lived each day with quiet strength, purpose, and love. A gifted woodworker, a natural salesman, and a true jack of all trades, he approached every task with humility and care.
Ralph loved spending time outdoors, especially caring for his garden and taking pride in a well-kept yard. He enjoyed traveling with his Ninnescah Good Sam Camping Club, savoring his afternoon cappuccinos, and spending evenings filled with laughter playing chicken foot with friends and family.
Most of all, Ralph was a man of deep faith. His daily walk with Jesus Christ shaped a life marked by grace, compassion, and integrity. He was a longtime member of the Kingman Christian Church and a devoted volunteer for Share the Love, serving his community with kindness and heart.
On August 3, 1950, Ralph married Ivy Buckle in Chanute, Kansas. She survives, along with their son, Troy Lankton; daughters, Rita Foulk and Sue Colgin; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Steven; brothers Allen, George, and Roy; and his sister, Florence Jackson.
We will miss his steady hands, kind heart, and gentle wisdom. But we rejoice in knowing he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Kingman Christian Church, with luncheon/reception to follow. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Livingston Funeral Home.
Memorials have been suggested to Kingman Christian Church or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and may be sent to the Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman, KS 67068.
