Randall "Randy" Henning
Dateline/Kingman
Randall "Randy" Henning, 65, AKA the state lake patrol, was born on March 22, 1954 to Leonard and Rosalyn Schwartz Henning. Randy loved people as he could be seen patrolling the Kingman State Lake looking for that one stranded traveler or rescuing the game warden from the fish feeder. He once helped someone retrieve their lost tent from the middle of the lake using only a pole and hook. When he wasn't busy catching tents, he loved to fish and spend time with his family, setting trot lines and having a little too much fun sometimes. He loved people and people loved him. He once chased down the largest vehicle he could find in the Run Across America. Regis and Kelly were inside. They gave him an autograph that simply said "Randy, we will remember you forever!"
Randy was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include son Ben and his wife Rebecca; daughters Cheryl Henning and Jennifer Cummings; his parents; brothers Stanley and wife Rebecca and Vernon; sisters Sheila Dick and husband Ed, Geneva Henning and husband Gary and Sharon Nowak and husband Randy; and eight grandchildren.
