Richard L. "Dick" Almond, 83, died Oct. 21, 2014, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born Dec. 17, 1930, at Wichita the son of Charles R. and Ethel Benson. A longtime Cunningham resident, he was a retired truck driver and welder for Kingman Manufacturing.
On June 24, 1972, he married Judy Kay Karns at Cunningham; she died Aug. 30, 1994. Survivors include two sons Vernon and Rodney; step-daughters Marcia Newell and Rev. Rhonda Almond; and sister Shirley Adamson. He was also preceded in death by brothers Bobbie and Bill Benson; and sister Doris Hook.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Maud Cemetery, Cunningham. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.
Memorials may be made with the Cunningham Community Center in care of the funeral home.
