RICHARD A. "RICH" KOSTNER
Richard Arthur Kostner, 48, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday (Jan 5, 2020). Rich may have lost his battle with cancer, but his fighting spirit gave him many more years, time, and memories with his family. He leaves a legacy of strength, kindness, laughter, and joy. He faced his disease with humor and dogged determination, keeping his family encouraged and hopeful throughout.
Born and raised in Murdock, KS, Richard is a 1989 graduate of Kingman High School. Following graduation, he enlisted in the Navy, serving tours on the America, Eisenhower, and Lincoln. He served in Desert Shield and became a lifetime member of the Kingman VFW. Upon returning from the Navy, he met his wife, started a family, and continued a long career in avionics while centering his entire life around his family.
He is survived by wife Katrina; four children Kerry, Jacob, Samantha, and Megan; parents Marilyn and Jerry Beach and parent John Kostner; siblings Jeromy and Heather Kostner, Adrian and Shondra Kostner, Darren and Paula Schroeder, Andrew and Justina Kostner, Robert and Rachel Winter; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 18 at 11:00 am at Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman with a luncheon immediately following. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home with the family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made with the Murdock United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
