RITA MAE WAPELHORST

Rita Mae Wapelhorst, 71, died June 3, 2020, at her home in Kingman.

She was born Sept. 10, 1948, in Kingman the daughter of Omer "Bud" and Margaret "Marge" Thissen Osner. A lifetime resident of the Kingman community, she was a retired Insurance Agent.

Rita was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman.

On July 27, 1997, she married Ernie Wapelhorst. Other survivors include son Dustin Weniger; daughter Crystal Boyer; step-sons, Alan, Denny, Kent and Kevin Wapelhorst; brother Mike Osner; sisters Marilyn Chance, Anne Kallaus, Pat Paul, Theresa Stark, Laura Franzen, Martha Albers, Janet Hardie, Carol Heimerman and Francie Wendling; and grandchildren Paige Batson, Regan Boyer, Paisley Weniger and Paxton Weniger; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rita was a gourmet cook who loved her family, friends, and never knew a stranger. Her passions were cooking, being around her family, music, and making others laugh. Rita enjoyed her life. She will be remembered for her grace, elegance, and amazing beauty inside and out, her love for her children and grandchildren, her ability to light up a room with laughter, and bring a smile to everyone's face. She will be dearly missed by her loved ones.

Parish rosary will be 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 7, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Kingman. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 p.m., Monday also at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.

Memorials may be made with the St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Crohns Colitis Foundation.
