Robert J. Holder, 92, died April 13, 2016, in Wichita.
He was born Oct. 26, 1923, at Norwich the son of Fred and Ethel Snelling Holder. A lifetime resident of the Norwich community, he was the retired President of Delta Electrical Supply.
Robert was a member of the Norwich United Methodist Church; the Harper Masonic Lodge; the Lions Club, a former council member and Mayor of Norwich, a 1941 graduate of Norwich High School establishing the Norwich High School Alumni Scholarship; and was a WWII veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in the Pacific Theater.
On Feb. 22, 1947, he married Marguerite Mae Gosch at Norwich; she died Aug. 8, 2002. Survivors include sons Brad and Dell; daughter Connie Ishman; brother Max; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by son Wayne; daughter Gayle Asbury; and a brother Fritz.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m, Monday, at the Norwich United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Church. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with The Norwich High School Alumni Scholarship Fund and the Norwich United Methodist Church both in care of the funeral home.
