Robert James Decker, 71, died Mar. 17, 2017, in Cunningham.
He was born Sept. 10, 1945, at South Haven, Michigan, the son of Frank and Ellen Peterson Decker. A longtime Nashville, Kansas resident, previously of Corpus Christi, Texas, he was an auto mechanic.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy
On Mar. 4, 1978, he married Julie Mantey at Corpus Christi, Texas; she died Feb. 16, 2012. Survivors include brother Neil (Debbie) Decker; his favorite buddy-his dog Benji; and numerous nieces and nephews. Special thanks to good friends Larry and Richard for all their loving care.
Graveside memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Nashville, Kansas.
Memorials may be made with the St. John Lutheran Church, the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
