Obituary

Our beloved father, grandfather (Opa), and great-grandfather, Robert Gary Keller, entered God's kingdom on January 24, 2024, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer, only three days shy of his 86th birthday.

Bob was born to Ruby and Frank Keller of Kingman, Kansas on January 27, 1938. One of seven children, Bob loved life on the farm. In high school he was an avid basketball and baseball player, and Valedictorian of his graduating class.

In 1954, Bob met the love of his life, Donna Lee Hobbs. They went on to have four children: Barry Keller (Valerie), Debra Erb (Daniel), Renee Sanow, and Michael Keller (Kimberly). They were also blessed with ten grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren, all of whom will grieve his loss. Bob was a wonderful father and grandfather as well as a devoted husband.

Employed by IBM his entire career, Bob and Donna moved frequently with his job, making friends, and building community wherever they called home. After retirement, they returned to his family farm, raising a wide variety of livestock, including a grand champion llama.

Bob enjoyed collecting antiques, golfing, fishing, and was an ardent bowler. Bob also loved music, teaching himself to play the guitar for his church and his own pleasure.

Bob is survived by his wife, his children and their families, his siblings Jay, Jack, Tom, and Paula, as well as an abundance of friends. He will be missed more than words can say.

Local funeral services to honor Bob's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 17, 2024, in the chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm, prior to the service at the funeral home.

A funeral service will also be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2024, in the chapel of Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman, Kansas. Burial will follow the service at Laredo Cemetery in Turon, Kansas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or the Alzheimer's Association.
