ROGER C. CLOYD

Roger C. Cloyd, 73, died April 23, 2017, at his home in Pretty Prairie.

He was born Feb. 20, 1944, at Wichita the son of Everett and Virginia Tapp Cloyd. A longtime resident of Pretty Prairie, he was a retired pipeline welder.

Roger was a member of the United Methodist Church, Pretty Prairie; Ninnescah Lodge #230, Kingman and was a Past Master at the Vinton, Louisiana Masonic Lodge; the Scottish Rite Bodies, Wichita; and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

On June 7, 1968, he married Marilyn Schroeder; she died Feb. 9, 2009. Survivors include a sister Beverly Duncan; and a nephew Todd Grebel. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Kimberly; and an infant son Gregory.

Funeral services with U.S. Navy honors and Masonic rites will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the United Methodist Church, Pretty Prairie. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Friday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Burial will be at a later date in the Lone Star Cemetery.
