SHIRLEY J. WINTER

Shirley J. Winter, 85, died Feb. 14, 2023, at her home in Kingman.

She was born Dec. 17, 1937, at Turon, Kansas the daughter of Harry and Bertha Kelley Hodson.  A Kingman resident since 1993, previously of Wichita, she was a former secretary for the Wichita Boy Scouts of America offices, and also employed by Universal Products in  Goddard.

She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, Wichita.

On Dec. 11, 1954, she married Leon H. Winter; he died Sept. 21, 2021.  Survivors include sons Michael, Mark and his wife Marcia, Rick, and Dennis and his wife Sharon; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by daughter Cindy Serna; brothers Lee, Milburn, Dwayne, Dean and another infant brother; sisters Joyce Haynes and Doris Maze; and 3 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, Feb. 17, 2023, at the Livingston Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, Thursday at the Livingston Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
