Steve Long, 66, died April 17, 2024, at his home in Cunningham.

He was born Oct. 9, 1957, in Wichita the son of Bob G. and Helen Luce Long.  A lifetime resident of the Cunningham community, he was a retired diesel mechanic for Trand, Inc.

Steve was a skilled mechanic; enjoyed playing poker with friends as well as his travels to Pitkin, Colorado.  He was an avid reader with an extensive collection of books.  An outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and making pheasant pie and venison jerky, to share with his family.  He was also a big supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs.

He was married to Sherrie Foster who preceded him in death.  Survivors include his mother Helen; brother Scott and his wife Allison Johnson; sister Teri Orth and her husband Ben; father-in-law Roy Foster; and nephew Mike Orth.  He was also preceded in death by his father Bob.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  Friends may call from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Shelman Cemetery, North of Cunningham.

The family suggests memorials be of the donor's choice.
