STEVEN G. GRABER

Steven G. “Steve” Graber, 79, died Dec. 27, 2029, in Wichita.

He was born Dec. 9, 1946, in Hutchinson the son of Walter E. and Martha Krehbiel Graber. Steve was given the nickname of “Short Stroke” from when he was young and ice skated and took short strokes. Therefore the nickname stuck but eventually everyone called him “Stroke”.

A resident of the Pretty Prairie community most of his life, he was a retired Store Services employee for Dillons. Also in the mid 1980’s he started a pole shed business under the name of Graber Buildings. He made these sheds all around the area doing a good job with the buildings made to last.

Steve was a member of the First Mennonite Church, Pretty Prairie; served in the Army National Guard and was veteran of the U.S. Army serving from 1966-1970.

In 1968, fifty-seven years ago, he married Jackie Finfrock in Pretty Prairie. Other survivors include one son Dustin Graber; and brother Gary Graber.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 9, 2026 at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made with the Prairie Sunset Home and mailed in care of Livingston Funeral Home, 1830 N. Main, Kingman KS 67068.
