SUSAN KAY HARRIS

Susan Kay Harris passed away December 6, 2024 after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born February 12, 1949 in Fowler, Kansas daughter of Velma Louise McCollom and Alfred Eugene Harris. She grew up in Meade, KS.

She married the love of her life, Ron Pulsifer, in 1999.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Jean Margaret Harris Graber of Pretty Prairie, Kansas.

Sue became a licensed acupuncturist and founded Whole Person Health in Stoughton, Massachusetts in the 1980's. It is still in operation. After moving to Kingman, Kansas in 2009, Sue founded Advanced Acupuncture. She was instrumental in getting the Kansas State Legislature to pass the bill for licensure for acupuncturists.

Sue graduated from K-State with a Bachelor of Science degree in pre-med. After eight years practicing Shiatsu in Massachusetts, Sue attended and received her certification from the New England School of Acupuncture in 1987. Sue then studied in China at the Traditional College of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in Beijing. She completed a business certification from Harvard. She also completed a Masters Degree in Environmental Science from Washburn University.

Sue will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Sue's life will be held, 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2025 at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.  A reception will follow in the Livingston Family Center following the service.
