Valorise Ann Blumanhourst, 78, died at her home in rural Kingman.
She was born March 16, 1937, at Hutchinson the daughter of Louis and Clara Shinkle Parks. A longtime resident of the Murdock and Kingman communities, she was a homemaker and former owner/operator of the Calico Patch.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the UMW, the Church Quilting Guild; the Kingman Ladies Investment Club; and the Hutchinson Quilters Guild.
On Oct. 24, 1956, she married Oliver Blumanhourst, Jr.; he died in 1998. Survivors include a son Michael and his wife Mary; daughters Velva Imel and husband Tom, and Cynthia Kuszmaul and husband John; brother Dr. Leland Parks; sister Joyce Trott; and 4 grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a sister Velva Jean Parks; and infant granddaughter Brenda Susan Imel.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Kingman United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at Belmont.
