VESTA LUCILE DOOLITTLE

Vesta Lucile Doolittle, 90, died Jan. 24, 2021 at the Patterson Health Center.

She was born July 21, 1930 in Cowley County, Kansas the daughter of Oscar Otis and Bessie May Fell Riggs.  A longtime resident of the Norwich community, she was a retired cook for the Norwich Schools.

Lucile was a member of the First Christian Church, Norwich.

On July 12, 1947, she married Johnnie Doolittle; he died Aug. 29, 2007.  Survivors include three daughters Barbara Short and husband Roger, Wanda Kelsey, Debbie Klein and her husband Randy; 8 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death son-in-law Sherman Kelsey; brothers Clyde and and Bob Riggs; sisters Helen Johnson, Esther Kincheloe, Doris Ball and Harriet Thompson.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Norwich.  Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman.
