Vicki Jean Roth
October 1953 – March 2021
Vicki Roth, 67 of Kingman, Kansas passed away on March 29th after many years struggling with a respiratory disorder.
Vicki was born in the small farming community of Payette, Idaho. Her parents, Gary and Betty, moved from the farm when she was nine years old. From there, her family lived in several communities in Idaho and Oregon.
She is survived by her three sons, Christopher, Timothy, and David; three grandchildren, Ember, T.J., and Caitlin; and one great grandchild, Lyla; also, by her four siblings, Terrence Roth, Elizabeth Engebretsen, Linda Haga, and Brenda Gunderson.
We remember Vicki's enthusiasm for adventure, her flare for embellishment, and a vivid sense of humor. We will miss her hearty laughter and words of encouragement. As a resident of Kingman, she is known for her commitment to animal welfare, particularly that of the local cats, even referring to herself as the "cat lady of Kingman." In one of her final letters, Vicki wrote of her gratitude for her family, friends, and community expressing that "God is so good to us." As siblings, we wish to thank the residents of Kingman for their care and love of our sister.
A memorial service will take place Saturday April 3rd at 2 PM at Livingston Funeral Home 1830 Main St. Kingman, KS. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to one of Vicki's favorite cat rescue: Country Cats, P. O. Box 37, Andover KS 67002 or via paypal countrycatsrescue@gmail.com.
