Virgil G. Jacobs, 74, died Aug. 10, 2014, at Wheatlands Healthcare Center, Kingman.
He was born Dec. 12, 1939, at Mt. Vernon, Kansas the son of Henry and Margaret Hilger Jacobs. A resident of the Waterloo community most of his life, he was a retired farmer.
He was a member of the St. Louis Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons Matt (Christine) and Neal; (Sharon) brother Oscar; sisters Lucy Albers, Helen Mertens and Jeanette Traffas; and grandchildren Dylan and Colin. He was preceded in death by brothers Rich, Sylvester, Vince and Harold; and sisters Sr. Loretta, Delphine Schmitz, Rosann Depenbusch and Florence Wehkamp.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, Aug. 18, at the St. Louis Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 17 at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman with the parish rosary at 5:00 p.m., also at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made with the Wheatlands Healthcare Center or Rivercross Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.
