"Pete" Mciver

Walter E. "Pete" McIver, 84, died Feb. 19, 2020, at Cheney.
He was born Dec. 23, 1935, at Satanta, Kansas the son of Oscar and Alice Marie Harlow McIver.
A longtime resident of Cheney, he was a retired Field Operator for Panhandle Eastern Natural Gas and former owner/operator of Walt's Fina Station, both in Satanta.
Pete was a member of the Cheney United Methodist Church, a 54 year member of the Hugoton Masonic Lodge #406, the Scottish Rite Bodies and Isis Shrine Temple; the Cheney American Legion; and was a U.S. Army veteran.
On Sept. 30, 1960, he married Clara Sheffield at Satanta. Other survivors include daughters Dana Eye, Jana McIver, Kim McIver and Darcy Harkcom; brothers Jim McIver, Mark McIver and Vernon McIver; grandchildren Sali Mattison, KaLeena Martinez, Kin Gilfillan and Darian Harkcom; great-grandchildren Liam Vesely, Kieran Vesely, Caden Acosta, Calvin Mattison and Jaci Mattison. He was preceded in death by brothers Lester and George McIver; and sisters Ella Marie Hazelton and Crystal Parton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, at the Cheney United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday at the Livingston Funeral Home in Kingman. Burial will be in the Pioneer Cemetery, Cheney.
