Wanda Mae Claypool, 83, died March 12, 2020, in Wichita.

She was born Feb. 2, 1938, at Penalosa the daughter of Orville Grant and Ida Mae Latham Helm.
A long time resident of the Penalosa community, she was a farmer, homemaker and a former bus driver for Fairfield District 310; and was known for her love of gardening.

Wanda was a member of the Penalosa United Methodist Church; and the Red Hat Society.

She was married to Jimmy Ray Claypool; he preceded her in death. Survivors include two sons, Stacy Claypool, Shawn Claypool and his wife Diana Linn; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Franklin Shane Claypool; daughter Sandra Kim Claypool; daughter-in-law Sandra Lee Claypool; and brothers Bob, Don, Bill and Clarence Helm.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, at the Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Family interment services will follow at a later date.

Memorials may be made with the Penalosa Community Building in care of the funeral home.
