Wayne Owen Koon, 87, died May 6, 2017, at Kinsley, Kansas.
He was born Jan. 7, 1930, at Kingman, Kansas, the son of Clarence Walter and Pauline Isabell McCue. A lifetime resident of Kingman, he was a truck driver for the Kansas Dept. of Transportation.
Wayne was a member of VFW Post #1146, Kingman; and was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include brothers Jack, Wichita, Wilbur, Kingman, and Larry, Colby; sister Norma Myers, Kinsley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the family present from 6-8 p.m.
Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made with the VFW Post #1164 or TNC Community, both in care of the funeral home.
